How to Use Free NFC Tag Writer?

Select content type

Choose URL, contact card, bank (IBAN) or invoice details, Wi-Fi, phone, location, app or plain text. A phone that taps a bank-details tag opens the IBAN and other details with separate copy buttons.

Enter the details

Fill in the fields and review the link or contact details before writing.

Touch the tag with your phone

Tap Write to Tag and hold the back of your phone near the tag. Keep it in place until the success message appears.

Verify and lock

Review the content before writing. After every write the tool reads the tag back and compares the NDEF records, so keep the tag in place until the success message appears. When permanent locking is selected, the tag is locked only on an exact match; this cannot be undone. After writing, use Read Tag to test behavior on the intended device.

Use bulk writing when needed

Start a session for 2–100 tags. Present each tag separately, press Write Next Tag, and follow the progress counter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I write an NFC tag from my phone without installing an app?
Yes. The tool uses Web NFC: open the page in current Chrome on an NFC-enabled Android phone, enter your content, and hold the phone near the tag. No app install or registration is required.
Can I write NFC tags with an iPhone?
No. Safari does not support Web NFC, so an iPhone cannot write tags from the browser; iPhones can only read them. Use Chrome on an Android phone with NFC hardware to write.
Can I prepare the content on a computer and write it from the phone?
You can prepare and copy the content on a computer, but writing must be started in current Chrome on an NFC-enabled Android phone. This version does not automatically sync form content between devices.
Which NFC tag should I buy?
Common NDEF-compatible NTAG21x tags work well for short links; larger content such as contact cards may require more capacity. Exact capacity and writability are verified by the tag and device during the operation.
